STORYTELLING AT MILGI'S YURT Tues 20 Jan 8.00 pm Free entry, contributions in the hat Guests: Storyteller Cath Little and musicians Blanche Rowen & Mike Gulston Introduced by: Guto Dafis "Word from the floor" If anyone in the audience would like to do a story or a couple of songs or tunes, please arrive early and speak to Guto, or email him beforehand at gdafis@ntlworld.com Cath Little is a storyteller and ballad singer drawing inspiration from her Irish and English heritage and her Welsh homeland. She tells tales and sings songs for the turning year, in celebration of our earth and its seasons. Blanche Rowen and Mike Gulston sing French dance numbers, English ballads of star-crossed lovers and irrepressible heroines, old Welsh lovesongs, and strange and wondrous hybrids of all three. Mostly served with a graceful accompaniment of guitar or octave mandola and a healthy dollop of irreverence. www.myspace.com/mikegulstonblancherowen Milgi Lounge 213 City Rd Cardiff CF24 3JD www.milgilounge.com www.myspace.com/milgilounge Milgi's Third Tuesday and Elinor's house Sunday 25th January 2009 Appalachian Spring Songs Tunes and Tales from the Old World to the New Richard Berry - Storyteller Stacey Blythe - Harp/Accordion/Vocals Helina Rees - Fiddle At Elinor Kapps house 46 Cathedral Road ( just up from the Cayo Arms ) 7.30pm Sunday 25th January 2009
